When teeth get "dressed up"

More people than you suspect aren't happy at all about the looks of their front teeth. Splinted, rake, discolored or distorted teeth even bring distress to some. However it's rarely an issue to make them appear nice and shining again. In order to prevent having to crown the affected teeth, modern-day dentistry applies ceramic veneers. These don't demand such severe abrasion as crowns would. Thanks to gentle preparation of the affected teeth, large parts of the dental substance can be preserved.

Veneers are waferthin, almost transparent. They're modeled in the desired shade of the tooth and can be fitted either on the front teeth of the upper and the lower jaw. Veneers are fitted on the primed tooth with special dental glue; the method is comparable with artificial finger nails. This way, the tooth's natural beauty is restored and optimized. The ready-fitted tooth looks absolutely beautiful concerning shade and shape.

Advantages of ceramic veneers:

  • your keep your own, natural tooth
  • no such intense abrasion needed as with crowns
  • natural aesthetic treatment of shape and color of your teeth
  • tooth-protecting method, safe and established technology
  • well-tolerated ceramic material, absolutely free of metal

Ceramic Inlays

Ceramic inlays - for your natural beauty

The individual tooth colors and precise possibilities of manufacturing render ceramic inlays almost "invisible". Modern technologies have enabled ceramic inlays that fit your teeth exactly. Ceramic inlays are fitted with dental cement or implemented by means of specially designed medical glue. The immense time and technical developmental needs in your dentist's practice make them more expensive than the other alternatives.

The plastic inlay - a tooth-colored inlay

Plastic inlays meet the patient's requirements of color and function. Thanks to medical plastic colors, the inlay can be matched exactly to your natural neighboring teeth. Plastic inlays are perfect for carious defects of natural teeth in the center and on the sides.

Golden inlays - popular for decades

Gold is a dentally valuable material that meets highest requirements. It is used for inlays as well as for crowns. However gold isn't implemented in its "pure and natural" form, it is used in mixtures. Gold inlays, for example, use high percentages of gold. Whether it be for longevity, good fitting or biological compatibility with your body - gold is a popular material in all aspects. A golden inlay can remain for decades.

Oral protection during physical activity

Safety in fitness and play

Many varieties of sport are risky and cause damage or total loss of teeth often. The risk of tooth, jaw, or other injuries of the center of the face during sports can be minimized by wearing appropriate protectors. Oral protection makes sense in many cases, some of which are squash, mountain biking, inline skating, football, handball, judo, motocross and similar others.

We offer you the know-how and the technical possibilities to fit your oral protectors to your individual needs. If you wish, we will even integrate your name into your protector. Production in your favorite color or the color of your club is possible, too.

Professional Tooth Bleaching

Professional Tooth Bleaching

Oral cosmetics by use of bleaching

Why do teeth change their color?

Even healthy teeth can adopt new colors as the years pass by. Coffee, tee, cigarettes, red wine, tobacco - these are just some substances that can cause discoloration. Regular treatment with your toothbrush won't improve these discolorations. Bleaching your teeth is possible in many cases, howeber. All your teeth need is a healthy all-in-all structure. A careful examination will be able to detect whether bleaching is an option in your case.

How does "bleaching" work?

There are two main bleaching methods: bleaching at the dentist's practice, or bleaching at home. If you chose bleaching at the dentist's, your gums will be shielded by a protective layer of rubber. Then the bleach is applied. Bleaching can be accelerated by means of light or warmth. For bleaching at home, the first step consists in taking prints of the teeth. These prints are then used for modeling a thin splint of plastic. The tooth splint is used as carrier for the bleach. It is normally worn overnight.

Depending on the intensity, bleaching can lighten up your teeth by several nuances. During and after bleaching, your teeth may react a little more sensitive than usual. Please consider that bleaching is a task for professionals. Bleaching is a primarily cosmetic treatment, thus it is not catered for by your health insurance. We do not recommend applying the cheap and non-prescription bleaches you may know from advertisements. Bleaching requires medical and health issue consideration. We are looking forward to counseling you on our safe and proven means of bleaching.
